Cat Log (the “App”) puts your privacy first. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the App collects, uses, and stores.
1. Information We Collect
The App stores the following information on your device only: medication names, schedules, dose history, family member display names and phone numbers, and medication photos. We do not collect your Apple ID, legal name, address, location, or date of birth.
2. Off-Device Transmission
Only if you enable the optional AI feature, your medication question text is sent to the Google Gemini API to obtain an answer. The content is not reused as training data. If you do not use the AI feature, no data leaves your device.
3. Third-Party Services
Purchases are handled by Apple App Store (StoreKit); the App does not receive payment information. When AI is used, Google LLC (Gemini) is the recipient. No advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs are embedded.
4. Family Sharing
The family monitoring feature shares only the “taken / not taken” status between family members. Medication names, photos, and other detailed information are not shared. You can add or remove family members at any time.
5. Data Retention
Data is stored on your device and is deleted entirely when you remove the App. The App does not perform any automatic cloud backup.
6. Your Rights
You may delete all data from the in-app settings at any time, or remove the App to delete all data permanently.
7. Children
The App is not designed for use by individuals under 13. If you wish to manage a child’s medication, please use the App as a parent or guardian.
